About the U8 Junior Academy for Fall 2020-Spring 2021
Tryouts at Mt. Bethel Elementary TBD (hopefully in July!)

Who: This program is designed to help develop U8 players (these are players born in 2013-2014 for the Fall 2020-Spring 2021 seasons) in a structured and professional environment.  This runs separate from the after school programs.
What: The academy will be centered around developing players according to their stage of development and offering hands on training.  Sessions will focus on teaching technical skills such as moves, dribbling, passing, receiving, and shooting. The focus will also be on teaching the attacking and defending principles of play.
Where: Players will train twice a week (1 hour 15 minutes a session) at Mt. Bethel Elementary and have a game on Saturday.  Training (boys and girls at the same time) will most likely run from 5:30-6:45.  The games (boys and girls separately) will be played In House as well as against other Junior Academies in the area. (Days and Times TBD).
When: Fall (August-November) and Spring (February-May)
Cost: $800 total (Fall/Spring) can be paid in one sum or 4 installments (July-October).  We may also participate in 1-2 tournaments (roughly $50-$75 per player/per tournament, this cost is separate)

Uniforms: Players will be required purchase a uniform kit (Home/Away jerseys, training top/shorts, backpack, socks, hoodie, pants, etc.). This cost is separate, about $200.
Other Accessories Needed: shin guards, cleats, size 3 ball, and water bottle
Ideal Player: The ideal player for this Junior Academy is one who loves to do his/her best, and has a desire to improve and compete.  This requires the ability to listen, and work well in a team environment.  Typically these are players who love to dribble vs. just kicking the ball away.
